Jay Manalo

Jay Lan Manalo better known as Jay Manalo, is a veteran Filipino actor of FilipinoVietnamese descent. Although born in Saigon, Vietnam, he was raised in Tondo, Manila, Philippines.

His father is a Filipino musician based in Vietnam during the war and there he met Jays mother who is Vietnamese. After Jay was born they moved to Manila and, by the time he was five, his parents got separated and his mother was forced to leave him to his father Eustaquio G. Manalo jr. In 1981 his father went abroad to work as a musicianentertatiner leaving Jay to his grandmother. His father was reunited with him in 1993. His mother was reunited with him in 1995. His mother married a US Navy serviceman and his father continued in his music.
